overworldA caminho do nosso derradeiro estado da arte — punkie promise —, o TCJ segue-nos de perto em leituras ao espírito dos tempos e adiantou-se-nos a outro que nos é próximo: os comix em zines com o "first in a series about current developments in small press and self-published comics" 25 mai 2021. Publicado hoje, cruza pandemia com as consequências imprevistas desta e atribuiu-lhe as boas novas a replicar alto e bom som, o quase colapso da sociedade como a conhecemos "have brought underground comics and zines to a place where they are more vital than ever."
If the pandemic had happened in 2000, it may very well have stalled out small press comics for a while. But this is 2021, baby, and we’ve got web distros! Etsy! Instagram! Patreon! Kickstarter! A new generation of emerging cartoonists working hard to be read! So, while cartoonists, publishers, and distributors continue to face some gnarly challenges, we have seen an impressive array of new short-run comics releases in the last year.

(no), this explosion (too cliched), this evolvement/proliferation/growth... waxing of the form" 25 mai 2021 dos comics, seja pelo DIY em plataformas para venda e distribuição a circundar indústria tradicional, presenças online, yadda. Mesmo que trate essencialmente de edições físicas, a relação ao digital é fundamental. Teses fechadas e prestes a matar o assunto sentimos-mos vindicados: a BD chegou.
Minus PT, esses virão depois, quiçá, para já espaços vitais nas interwebs rareiam. Da nossa parte faremos contribuição daqui a par de dias acrescentando parêntesis ao parêntesis do TCJ, "(Future historians will have their work cut out to document the mountain of self-published and small press comics created in our age.)". Com esse milagre de história passada ao futuro em processo, continuamos a dobrar os sinos com as boas novas, a sobreposição de eternos tópicos em webcomics et punx não omite overlap ao famigerado $$$:

Igual, mas para o outro lado, working hard not to be read. Desenhar os nossos comics e arquivar os nossos feeds é já segunda natureza. Mas, aquilo dos "feels" que abundam e agora que a sala se compõe, voltaremos as todas as coisas cómicas com os dizeres dos adultos em comparações do ano 2000 para 2021 e depois seguimos viagem.
