The songs of this period were anthems of self-hate and destruction; a slow-death narrative of drunk-driving, chain-smoking, and angry politics too slurred and incoherent to be properly expressed. All the recordings from this time are harsh and grainy; the lo-fi relics of a man promising to drink himself to death unless sleep came first.

— às suas últimas encarnações já sóbrio, alegre, de ideias arrumadas ("o comunismo não é suficientemente cínico para poder funcionar") são exemplo. Não sabemos os motivos do rapaz, talvez sejam menos ideais do que imaginados, talvez mais pragmáticos do que ideológicos. Ou talvez apenas os que enunciou no seu adeus:

Em retrospectiva, e mesmo se o próprio não imaginava ainda a sua saída de cena um ano antes de escrever essas linhas, podemos rever nesta entrevista um outro insight à sua explicação de anarquismo & punk a quem lhe pergunta:
I'm at war with this world, that means that pretty much every situation I enter into is one I think it should be dismantled.
I obviously don’t go around dismantling everything that I see. That, I think (i), would be the true logical extend of what I think (ii) but I don’t think (iii) that's really possible for me to do individually and so I attempt to come to some logical idea on how to do that as best as I can without immediately going to prison for a long time for no particular reason.
