- comics are culturally harmful because they deturn from the real culture (particularly from literature);
- comics are aesthetic junk.
Facing this rejection (...) comics fans [criaram uma] parallel legitimization through magazines, fanzines, conventions, collectors, specialized critics; everything in closed-circuit: a paraculture was born.

OS POSITIVOS: a entreter os amigos, so to speak... e porque insistimos no digital:
Underground comix were suddenly snuffed out. The change that ended undergrounds was the Supreme Court decision in 1973 that declared that local standards could determine obscenity. The chief distribution means of underground comics, head shops, couldn’t risk it anymore. Without distribution, comix slowly died.
