O que faz falta é que alguém diante de Trump e em directo lhe responda de forma clara e inequívoca, que se levante e lhe diga algumas verdades, já que não conseguirá dizer muitas, porque será calado e escoltado para fora da sala. Que faça aquilo que os anarquistas chamavam "a propaganda pelo exemplo", uma das coisas mais poderosas quando se pode fazer diante de milhões de pessoas que estão a ver ou vão ver, como seja dizer esta simples frase: "O senhor Presidente, sua Excelência, Sir, sua Majestade, sua Eminência, Grande Negociador, etc., por que razão o senhor mente tão sistematicamente, por que razão é um mentiroso?"

J-Pacheco-P correctamente recorda a não tentar o diálogo: Trumpas é um troll experiente, qualquer comunicação uma conversa de surdos que o boastful buffoon guinará em adiantamento da sua causa.
Não lhe perguntem sobre políticas, que ele aí vai dizer o que quer, dependendo de quem está ao lado e, no dia seguinte, muda tudo na solidão do Twitter ou vice-versa.

Case in point, o regresso de Sacha Cohen: por si não acusamos entusiasmo de maior, mas pelo método que o populariza. Não que o soubéssemos pelos jornais de referência e esse é parte substâncial do problema. Dizem-nos:

Mais do que políticos ou jornalistas, os que urgentemente devem interromper o discurso de Trumpas é quem lhe faça par nesta cómica tragédia: qualquer gravidade maior só lhe empresta um respeito que lhe serve os propósitos — quebre-se a hipnose.

Throughout each flub, the legacy media largely adhered to the traditional rules of newsgathering, many of which assume a (mostly) good faith effort on both the part of the interviewer and interviewees. But this tactic proves disastrous against entities like the alt-right, pro-Trump media, and many of the lawmakers who’ve joined Trump in his chants of "fake news," who delight in subverting traditional media in any way possible.
As the last two years have shown, the #MAGA style of politics is less an ideology than it is about breaking the system through an insurgent style of media hacking and alternate-reality creation.

Exemplo: Colbert, o rosto da resistência, na mesma peça que denuncia o encarceramento de menores retirados dos seus pais transforma-os em props de comédia.
Esta comédia mantem o status quo e propositadamente ou não evita quebrá-lo contra o assalto que os acossa: recordemos o pedido de desculpas 31 maio 2018 de Samantha Bee. A hipocrisia: "não podemos ser como eles" mesmo se para manter a razão moral cedem em todo o resto invertendo a sua lógica — se no fim de fábula não se vence a adversidade enfrentada, importará a moral da história? Procuremos então descer um nível em sátira e humor: a que temos perdeu a sua verve. Politicamente Cohen é-nos estranho mas os seus meios estão na ordem do dia:

Like any good troll, Baron Cohen knows how to checkmate his subject so that he or she looks foolish regardless of the outcome. Admit you’ve been duped and you’re gullible and ashamed; protest and you’re a poor sport or a hypocrite. Either way, Baron Cohen wins.

It’s a cynical view that — much like the show — isn’t very comfortable to sit with for very long. But that sinking feeling is very much the point. Baron Cohen is a worthy adversary for the most disingenuous in our politics and culture. He pits bad faith against bad faith and the result is something that seems like the truth — but it isn’t easy to watch. And somehow, that feels fitting for our current moment.

Terminamos de cómicos, late shows, trolls com um coração de ouro que politicamente se aproximam mais das nossas sensibilidades (*) OS POSITIVOS e Michael Moore: teria que largar os burgers., o senhor que a esquerda bem pensante estabelecida já no passado tentou (e conseguiu) enterrar mediaticamente: Michael Moore.
Também ele estará de volta este ano com novo filme em setembro, e esta entrevista com Colbert é um exemplo do fosso entre o old estabelecido e os que optam por "wrestle in the mud with his subjects".
Note-se o comediante reticente em aceitar um "we" comum contra Trumpo ou sua impaciência profissionalmente comedida em terminar conversas para o fim do segmento. Ou, em sentido inverso ao primeiro video, como Moore não faz de menores em gaiolas um punchline ao monólogo.
